Nudity or vulgarity
I am a great admirer of art. I specifically like nude paintings. Some people may find me vulgar, some may call me pervert. But I don't see any sin in worshiping human anatomy ! Being an Indian woman, one may feel a little awkward while uttering such words. But I am a very scientific-minded person. We must admit nature's creativity and admire the beauty lying there.
Here is a sketch that I made roughly using charcoal. I love female figures. And I feel no shame to depict them.

Does nudity refers rigidly to the human anatomy? What about an artist's relation to the society? Are the conditions of society "external" to the "practice of freedom of definition" practiced by the artist?
ReplyDeleteWhen Galileo was persecuted for his revolutionary concept of earth's revolution around sun, what is more argent?
1. To put the main emphasis on contradicting Galileo and saying that the path of revolution is not circular; it is elliptical.
or
2. To put the main emphasis in the protest against persecution and correctness of Galileo's theory (thus putting the expansion of Galileo's proposition temporarily in the back sit).
I personally had these question in my mind since the first time I saw your photo collection in orkut. I enjoy the collection (and this painting) and my entertainment is not free from basic human instincts. However I do not find either the art or its appreciation objectionable. But I do have the above mentioned questions in my mind.

hey,
ReplyDeleteanatomy lover!!
you may know me through orkut.
i dont understand why you are thinking about how others think about you loving anatomy!!
i dont feel there is any sin in it!
if we cant love our anatomy,i would say we cannot enjoy the god's best creation.
i think everybody love anatomy, but they may not like or dare to tell like you that they loves it.
There is nothing vulgar in the nature, people invent it. We all are born nude and there is no point in feeling shy about it. And feminine beauty with its delightful curves, sensitivity and innocence is truly a nature's gift for the man to appreciate, please and ultimately honor the feminine in all ways possible becoz there is nothing more giving than a satisfied and pleased women.
ReplyDeleteThe nude artists and sculptures are the best and purest in perfectly depicting human sexuality. In fact the real beauty exists in their minds as they contemplate human anatomy/sexuality as it is without entertaining any evil thoughts.
You perceive beauty and depict it as a token of appreciation to God's work. Pervert is far-off word that never ever suits you, I am confident what you're truly Pious.
My friend Suchitra is warm, good at heart and really pious. She is worthy to be called a real Indian Women!! All the best dear.
This is a true art of yours. Anyone can show nudity with camera, but this is truly admirable, even nowdays one can use anybody's face on nude picture by camera tricks. Are you only focussed on women anatomy art work?
ReplyDeleteI like your way of perceiving art. It doesn't affect if are from India or some other part of world: ''art is art anywhere in there world''.
ReplyDeleteactually i m also having same feeling (vulgarity) before i read these description.......u r too good.....................
ReplyDeleteI was great chatting with you earlier today. I will continue to review your lovely nudes and any other art you post on your site. I,too see nothing but inspiration and a wonderful thing from God in the form of a lovely female when I review attractive nude female subjects....part of life. And as an OB-GYN medical doc said at a class reunion I attended with my OB-GYN lady friend.....the vagina is not just part of the subject of our work; it is life. And, I agree. jtw Anderson, SC
